Reflection for this week.

On Wednesday, the class did an activity on choosing what type of role each person played in our groups. Group members thought I was more of an opinion giver, info seeker, follower, group observer, blocker, and joker. The group task and maintenance role was expected but I would say I'm more of a help seeker or recognition seeker as my individual roles. Most of the time, whenever possible, I would ask others to help me get something done so I wouldn't have to do it. Other times, I would remind others that I did my part already on a project or report just so I wouldn't have to do anything else.

For today's class, we studied about how people acted depending on where they're from. Some people may find other cultures different, unusual or maybe even offensive to the customs that they were taught. Being from a different background, I've been exposed to acting certain ways that are different from the norms of other ethnicities or racial background. For example, it is etiquette to pour hot tea for your elders when eating. Because it's believed to sweep away bad luck, it is tradition to clean the house before new year. These are few examples of the way certain people act because of their different cultural background or where they're from.
