Spring Break is finally over. The week long break was definitely needed after a week of midterms. Over the short break, I went back home, relaxed, and saw my friends and family whom I haven't seen for about a month. I noticed that so many things that we have learned in COM320 that are used in real life situations. I communicated with group members and professor from my other class via email. The class was MET400 Mechanical Design and our final project is due at the end of the semester. My group members and me were to come up with a proposed idea for our final project. We were communicating using the delphi technique. We were sharing our ideas without actually having to meet face to face.
Another time on Wednesday, I went to the car dealership and I also noticed that the salesman was using hand gestures to communicate with me. He greeted me with a handshake and waved me off to say bye. He was using his finger to point at the vehicle I wanted to look at. Verbal and Nonverbal communication is used everyday. Without actually having to speak, Nonverbal communication is just as effective and easy to understand.
