This is my first time using a blog, so it will be fun to see how it helps me actually see how the class applies to group functions and class and express the things I learn. So far in this class, I have learned about why group discussions work the way they do. I have had several classes that have groups, but it is usually a very short time together and we never really get through all of the stages of being a group. I am looking forward to actually getting to be with the same team all semester. For most of the group our first presentation was about the symbolic convergence theory. It was actually fun seeing the theory work. And it is even better that our group name came from our group talking about a show on the Discovery Channel that was about wild boars. So it was a time that the symbolic convergence theory was at work and allowing our group to grow closer. I am looking forward to see how things turn out for our group project, how the stages of the group formation work, and how I can apply the concepts that I learn in class throughout the semester.
