Victors First Blog Post

This is my first time blogging which I think is a great form of communication as it relates to COM320. Using blogspot, is a great way to reflect on materials learned in and outside of class as it gives us the opportunity to learn about other group's learning experience or progress of the service learning project. This week, our group came up with an idea for our service learning project proposal. The idea was to organize an activity sometime near the end of the semester where we can get an animal shelter to bring in puppies or dogs for students in the residence halls to play with as a stress reliever as final exams will be coming up. We thought this was a great way to help the resident hall organization, relieve stress for students, as well as maybe possibly raise money for the animal shelter. Some possible problems that we might have for this project would be getting in contact with animal shelters that are willing to bring in their animals to the hall, how to execute the event, possible challenges and solutions, and alternative plans should the event not work out. We are still in the early stages of our project as it would require more planning, coordinating, actually organizing the event and choosing an exact date for this event.
