Advertising and Possible Challenges

As we are progressing on our SLP, our group decided to advertise the event mostly by word of mouth. We will also hang flyers around the residence hall so that residents will be aware of the event in their hall. Everyone will be welcome to come to the event and depending if we want to make this a campus-wide event, we might also hang flyers around campus. Possible challenges that we might have are transportation. Since the animal shelter carries a large amount of animals, transporting all of the animals to the residence hall and back will be very difficult. If there aren't enough vehicles, we might need to borrow a car from a friend or we may decide to rent a truck to transport all of the animals. Another challenge was getting in contact with the right people and coordinating the event in the residence halls. Our group decided that the event should be set at Windsor Hall because luckily one of our group members lives in the dormitory and another member is familiar with someone on the committee at Windsor Hall that organizes activities and events for the students. Choosing a date for the event proved to be very challenging because of scheduling conflicts and weather concerns. Our group decided that the event should occur before last semester exams to help students relieve stress and take their mind off of studying. However, our group will have to work with the date the animal shelter is free to bring in their animals.
